Seedance 2.0 Mini gives an early video idea a concrete setup: a prompt, an input mode, a duration and a quoted credit amount. This route exposes text to video, image to video and multiple reference inputs at 480p or 720p. It is useful when you want to compare several scene directions before choosing one to develop further.
Mini has a lower configured unit credit rate than the other Seedance 2.0 variants on this site. That is a pricing difference, not a measured claim about quality or success rate. Choose the version by the controls and output you need, and judge each returned clip against the same subject and camera brief.
THE POSSIBILITIES
Seedance 2.0 Mini features, in practice.
Choose the input that fits your idea, then shape the motion. Clips below are local sample footage for the layout.
01 / CREATIVE CONTROL
A text prompt that tests one visual idea
Use the first request to answer a specific question, such as whether a low viewpoint or a warm interior suits the subject. Write a short continuous action instead of several scenes. A compact brief leaves less room for conflicting instructions and makes the next revision easier to describe.
Choose a supported duration that gives the action time to happen without filling it with extra events.

02 / CREATIVE CONTROL
Reference inputs for a focused study
Mini retains the Seedance 2.0 reference-input workflow in this configuration. You can separate identity, environment and motion references, or use first and last frames for a transition. Assign each input a purpose and remove repeated files; a collection is not automatically a better brief than one good opening image.
Adding a reference video changes the billing basis from output seconds to reference plus output seconds.

03 / CREATIVE CONTROL
480p and 720p with an explicit estimate
Choose the requested output size before reviewing credits. For exploration, compare whether the movement and composition work rather than treating a resolution label as a quality score. If you need 1080p or 4K settings, compare another supported model instead of assuming Mini offers them through a hidden option.
The estimate includes the configured content-check allowance once per request.

FROM IDEA TO A TAKE
How to use Seedance 2.0 Mini.
A clear starting point, a focused brief and settings you can review before submitting.
01
Choose your starting point
Open Seedance 2.0 Mini in the generator above. Choose Text to video for a written scene or Image to video when you have an opening composition. Choose Multi-reference when several files have distinct roles.
02
Build a focused scene brief
Write the subject, action, camera direction and lighting. In image mode, add a first frame and an optional compatible last frame. If using appearance references, select the reference-image control and assign roles to up to 9 images.
03
Set the format and review credits
Choose 480p or 720p output. Pick a supported duration from 4 to 15 seconds. Set the aspect ratio for the destination. Review the estimate after changing a setting or adding a reference clip.
04
Generate, review and refine
When generation is enabled, submit after reviewing the brief and content checks. Track the request in Recent takes. Review the full clip for subject details, continuity and sound, then download a useful result or change one part of the brief for the next take.
Load a brief with supported settings in the full workspace. Review it and add your own images or references where required.
Text to video
A simple character beat
Two playful clay characters sit at a small breakfast table. One slides a cup toward the other, who smiles and nods. Static medium-wide view, warm morning light, handmade textures, a continuous shot. Keep the table and background unchanged, with no written signs.
One gesture is enough to evaluate the scene's timing and visual direction.
Use the uploaded sketch as the starting frame. The drawn character raises one hand slowly, then returns to the original pose. Keep the line style, proportions and background layout close to the input. A stationary camera, no new objects and no cuts.
Review the result for changes to the drawing; a reference guides the output without guaranteeing exact preservation.
Your first-frame upload is required. Loading a prompt does not submit a request.
PUT THE SHOT TO WORK
Ways to create with Seedance 2.0 Mini.
Start with the job the clip needs to do. Keep final editing and a full review in your workflow.
01
A storyboard motion study
Turn one panel into a short moving scene. Use the take to assess camera position and action rather than as proof that a whole sequence will stay consistent.
02
Character gesture ideas
Test a wave, turn or glance from an identity reference. Compare the entire movement for changes in the face, clothing and surrounding objects.
03
A small prompt experiment
Keep the same subject and settings while changing one sentence. The quote makes the cost of each planned revision visible before submission.
BEFORE YOUR NEXT TAKE
Budget for another take
A low unit rate does not make every request useful. Decide which part of the scene you are testing and leave credit room for a revision. Reusing the setup helps you compare outcomes without accidentally changing duration or resolution.
Keep text out of the scene when accuracy matters
Generate the movement and visual space first. Add exact captions, labels and brand marks in an editor later. Inspect the result for incidental lettering rather than assuming a prompt can make every character perfectly readable.

Can Seedance 2.0 Mini generate video from text or an image?
Text to video is supported: describe a scene and its movement. First frame + optional last frame are supported in image mode. A separate reference-image control accepts up to 9 images for appearance guidance.
Which duration and resolution can I choose for Seedance 2.0 Mini?
480p, 720p output is offered with durations from 4 to 15 seconds. The controls above use these same settings. A resolution selection describes the requested output and does not guarantee native detail or readable small text.
Can I upload reference videos or audio?
Multi-reference mode exposes up to 9 image, 3 video and 3 audio references. Explain each file's role in the prompt. Video-reference duration changes the estimate; inspect the quote after uploads are processed.
How are video-generation credits calculated?
The credit table below the controls section lists this model's fixed rates for every supported output size. Some routes charge per request and others by duration. A content-check allowance is included once. Use Review credit estimate in the generator for the actual settings and uploaded reference duration before submitting.
Does Seedance 2.0 Mini include generated sound?
This route has an optional generated-audio control under Audio, seed & camera. Describe relevant ambience or effects in the brief, then listen to the full result. Sound generation does not replace a final voice recording or music mix.
What happens during content checks or a failed request?
Prompts and image references are checked before submission. A rejection or unavailable check stops submission. These checks do not audit reference-video frames or audio tracks. Confirmed failed tasks release reserved credits once; an uncertain submission remains under review to avoid duplicate requests.
Are these videos results from the example prompts?
The current clips are local sample footage used to demonstrate the layout. They are not outputs from the displayed prompts, model benchmarks or evidence of a specific model's quality. Example prompts are editable starting points; image and reference examples require your own uploads.
